On Saturday 30 September, Mount Isa Mines is hosting Zinc Goes Pink - a one-off, exclusive breast cancer fundraising gala ball at George Fisher Zinc Mine.
Hosted by Australian television icon, Logie Award Hall of Fame inductee and breast cancer survivor Kerri-Anne Kennerley, the event promises to be a highlight of this year's social calendar in the north-west.
About the event
Zinc Goes Pink will be the first time in modern memory a gala ball has been hosted within the footprint of Mount Isa Mines' active mining lease. It represents an unprecedented opportunity for members of the community to see our operations up close, while at the same time enjoying a three-course meal, all-inclusive drinks package and lively entertainment.
All funds raised through ticket sales, sponsorship and the event auction will go towards improving breast cancer treatment options and finding a cure.
- 75 per cent will be donated to the National Breast Cancer Foundation, which leads life-changing research.
- 25 per cent will be donated to the North West Breast Cancer Support Group, which provides essential support services to people who have been diagnosed with breast cancer in the Mount Isa region.
Be part of this historic event, and help support the National Breast Cancer Foundation's vision of zero women lost to breast cancer by 2020.
