Glencore is a proud supporter of the Books in Homes program - an initiative to improve literacy in regional and remote Australia, and improve the long term prospects of students in these communities.

Three times a year, students select from a list of books and choose three titles they will be gifted and get to take home.  By creating a sense of ownership over their selection and promoting a culture of reading engagement at home, Books in Homes is helping overcome systemic challenges faced by kids growing up in rural and remote communities.

25 per cent of titles are written or illustrated by indigenous creators, recognising the cultural heritage of many of the Books in Homes recipients.
