Glencore's community Assistance Program

During this unprecedented health and economic crisis, Glencore continues to provide funding through the Glencore North Queensland Community Assistance Program for local community organisations and not-for-profit groups.

Each year through our site-based Community Assistance Program, Glencore awards hundreds of thousands of dollars in funding for projects and community initiatives across our North Queensland communities of Mount Isa, Cloncurry and Townsville.

Unfortunately many community events have been cancelled or postponed due to the Coronavirus pandemic but it's important that community groups continue with the vital services they provide to keep our communities strong and resilient.

To apply for Glencore's Community Assistance Program you will need to be a local community group or not-for-profit community group providing a community service in the Mount Isa, Cloncurry or Townsville community.

Successful recipients in 2020 include:

  • Townsville Rockwheelers Mountain Bike Club Inc
  • North West Canoe Club
  • Mount Isa Concert Ensembles
  • Zonta Club of Mount Isa
  • Spinifex State College
  • Mission to Seafarers
  • ManUp! Australia
  • Cloncurry and District Race Club.

The Quarter 4 funding round will close on 21 August 2020.
